Digital Learning

At The Portsmouth Academy we are keen to allow students to learn in ways and at times that support their education.  These are some of the packages available to our students.

If your child is having issues logging into our systems, please can you fill in this form.  If you wish to get a parental login for Show My Homework, please see the section below.

Students have access to a service called GCSEPod, which provides podcasts based on their GCSEs.  Their login will be their school login and password.  There is a link to this from the Pupils->Microsoft Portal at the top of this website, or they can go to www.gcsepod.com/login or download the iOS / Android app.  If they have any problems logging in, please contact the school.

Hegarty Maths is a series of maths videos aimed at all year groups. Go to www.hegartymaths.com

To login click on Student log in, search for The Portsmouth Academy, then enter your name and date of birth (this only has to be done the first time you login)

TPA student guide to get to teams

All students have access to Microsoft Teams to allow them to access learning outside of lesson times.  Teams gives them a chance to work collaboratively with their teacher and other students in the class.

Students are provided with logins for our computers and their Office 365 accounts when they start at The Portsmouth Academy.

The same password is used for both computers and email.  Show My Homework and GCSEPod use the same login details via the Sign In With Office 365 links.

If students forget their login details they will need to go to see the IT Support Team in room 11.

NOTE: during school closures if parent/carer contacts the school (preferably from a contact that we already have on record – e.g. via MyEd app / or email to info@theportsmouthacademy.org.uk), we can arrange to get the student password reset.
