To help keep all pupils safe, please ensure the school has up-to-date information about any allergies your child may have. Accurate allergy information enables us to put appropriate support plans in place, train staff effectively, and respond quickly in an emergency. We all have a part to play in creating a safe environment, including following our nut-aware policy and being mindful of the food brought into school. If your child has an allergy, please contact the school or update their details via Arbor. Be Allergy Aware Posters for AAW25

Apprenticeship Bus visits to inspire pupils to aspire for exciting futures

March 4, 2024 03:19pm

The Portsmouth Academy has recently welcomed the city's 'Apprenticeship Bus', which aims to inspire students in Portsmouth to consider an apprenticeship as a viable and exciting career option.

The visit welcomed professionals from the NHS, Portsmouth City Council, the Royal Army and Royal Navy, BAE Systems, and South Western Rail to the school to discuss exciting opportunities for our pupils.

The citywide initiative also strives to secure apprentices for as many Portsmouth businesses from local schools, driving to meet as many Year 10 and 11 pupils as possible each year.

At The Portsmouth Academy, we hold high expectations for our pupils to aspire to identify and achieve in their future, especially when they leave school.

We look forward to welcoming the Apprenticeship Bus again soon.
