Welcome to The Portsmouth Academy’s Year 7 Transition page. We’re delighted that your child has chosen to join us in September 2026. As students prepare to embark on the next phase of their educational journey, we understand that this can be both an exciting and anxious time for both students and parents. This page aims to provide you with an overview of the information you may need to help your child prepare for and settle into their new school.

Learn more about our school day, what to bring with you to school, and where pupils will enjoy their lunch and break times within this video.

We know that starting secondary school can be both exciting and a little nerve-wracking, and it's completely normal to have questions as September approaches.
To help you feel fully prepared and confident for the transition, we've created a simple way for you to get in touch with us. Whether you want to know more about timetables, uniform, clubs, lunches, or what the school day looks like, no question is too small.
Our aim is to make your transition to The Portsmouth Academy as smooth, stress-free and positive as possible.
Please complete the short form via the below link, and a member of our team will get back to you as soon as possible.
