Allergy Awareness:
To help keep all pupils safe, please ensure the school has up-to-date information about any allergies your child may have. Accurate allergy information enables us to put appropriate support plans in place, train staff effectively, and respond quickly in an emergency. We all have a part to play in creating a safe environment, including following our nut-aware policy and being mindful of the food brought into school. If your child has an allergy, please contact the school or update their details via Arbor. Be Allergy Aware Posters for AAW25

From the moment families arrived, our classrooms and corridors were full of energy, excitement and conversation. Across our departments and subjects, students proudly shared what they love to learn about at The Portsmouth Academy in fun, interactive ways. From live science demonstrations to food tasters and hands-on activities, the event gave prospective students an opportunity to experience what life could be like for them at our school.

One of the highlights of the evening was a presentation from our Headteacher Mrs Dedman, who shared our vision for the future and our commitment to supporting every child in achieving their full potential. Reflecting on the event, she said:
"As I walked around the school, I felt incredibly proud of what we were able to showcase together. From the warm welcomes and conversations with families, to the engaging activities and displays across the school, every interaction reflected the care, dedication and commitment that makes our community so special.
"What stood out most was the feedback from parents. I had so many lovely conversations throughout the evening, and they were full of praise for our staff.
"Parents commented on how welcoming, enthusiastic, and approachable everyone was, and how impressed they were with the range of opportunities and experiences on offer for our students".

The evening gave families the chance to see our commitment to continuous improvement, so we can ensure our young people can aim high and develop the confidence to succeed in school and beyond.
