A message for our Year 7 parents and carers:

Year 7 Meet the Tutor Evening.

This event provides an opportunity for you to meet your child's form tutor, who will be supporting them throughout the academic year. It is also a chance to find out how your child has settled into Year 7, learn more about life at The Portsmouth Academy, and ask any questions you may have about the year ahead.

  • Session 1: 3:30pm to 4:15pm
  • Session 2: 4:15pm to 5:00pm

Allergy Awareness:

To help keep all pupils safe, please ensure the school has up-to-date information about any allergies your child may have. Accurate allergy information enables us to put appropriate support plans in place, train staff effectively, and respond quickly in an emergency. We all have a part to play in creating a safe environment, including following our nut-aware policy and being mindful of the food brought into school. Portsmouth Academy Students Shine at 'Soundsational' Event

Students from The Portsmouth Academy had the opportunity to showcase their musical talents at the Portsmouth Guildhall as part of the 'Soundsational' event.

The event provided a platform for our budding musicians, featuring two slots dedicated to Year 11 bands. Schools from across the city then came together to form a mass choir and performed three songs.

Throughout the event, our students exemplified the values of The Portsmouth Academy with their professionalism, talent, and enthusiasm.

They not only showcased their musical abilities but also represented the school impeccably, earning admiration and applause from all in attendance.

For many of the students, performing on such a prestigious stage with professional lighting and sound was a dream come true.

The Portsmouth Guildhall provided the perfect backdrop for their talents to shine, igniting a passion for performance that will undoubtedly fuel their future endeavors in the world of music. 

They students were also buzzing that they had their own dressing room complete with fridge, refreshments, TV to watch the other acts, mirrors, kettles and sofas, they were real life ‘rock stars’ for the evening.
