A message for our Year 7 parents and carers:
Year 7 Meet the Tutor Evening.
This event provides an opportunity for you to meet your child's form tutor, who will be supporting them throughout the academic year. It is also a chance to find out how your child has settled into Year 7, learn more about life at The Portsmouth Academy, and ask any questions you may have about the year ahead.
Allergy Awareness:
To help keep all pupils safe, please ensure the school has up-to-date information about any allergies your child may have. Accurate allergy information enables us to put appropriate support plans in place, train staff effectively, and respond quickly in an emergency. We all have a part to play in creating a safe environment, including following our nut-aware policy and being mindful of the food brought into school. If your child has an allergy, please contact the school or update their details via Arbor. Be Allergy Aware Posters for AAW25

Towards the end of February Year 10 Media Studies students got the opportunity to visit Disneyland Paris. They visited both Disney Studios Park and Disneyland Park with Mrs Ball, Mr Batten, Miss Rahman and Miss Fox. Everyone got to experience the rides in both parks, even venturing to the new Avengers Campus, where they bumped into the likes of Spiderman, Antman and Captain America on their visit! The numerous rollercoasters were a big hit with both TPA staff and students! As were the parades and amazing fireworks on the final evening. The students (and teachers!) did lots of shopping in the numerous shops in the parks and in Disney Village, as well as filling up on as many Disney snacks as possible!
A key feature of the trip was the Media Live conference. This gave students the chance to hear the experiences of a number of people who currently work within the media industry. The speakers explained how they came to work within the sector and encouraged students to do the same. As a group we felt very inspired following the conference.

Staff and students had an amazing time on the trip overall! Most students stated that the rides and the parks were the best parts of the trip. One student said ‘Loved it! Had the time of my life. The fireworks were sick as well!’ Other comments include ‘can we go again?’ and ‘I think you should bring us again!’ So I think it’s safe to say that the students enjoyed themselves!
Behaviour was excellent and the students represented TPA perfectly. Mrs Ball, Mr Batten, Miss Rahman and Miss Fox were very impressed with #TeamTPA
